I bought the Reef Dynamics 130d nano skimmer in the fall 2011. the first thing you notice is the high level of build quality. Everything you need is there nothing more and nothing less. After a break in period of about a week and a half the skimmer kicked into a whole new gear. The whole body of the skimmer is snow white with tiny bubbles and the skimmer will produce nice wet foamate or dark disgusting dry foamate with just a twist of the riser pipe. But I have to say after setting it and keeping a constant water level in the skimmer compartment I really don't have to do anything but clean the skimmer cup (which I do about every three days). esn't need to run 24/7 it can easily handle a heavy bio load in the RSM 130d with ease. Another major high point of this skimmer is the noise level or lack there of. mine is virtually silent! No humming no hissing and absolutely no gurgling. It's so quiet you don't even know its on, another huge plus.
