Introducing The "CMR" Line of Calcium Media Reactors

The CMR series Calcium Media Reactors, is the culmination of all the best element of current CaRx technologies with the addition of our signature Reef Dynamics components, specifically the JAM-LOC and the venturi/ pinwheel impeller assembly.

The addition of these components makes these Calcium reactors the ultimate design in terms of ease of use and efficiency.

The JAM-LOC alone makes adding and changing media virtually effortless. No more endless spinning of thumbscrews or unions. Simply twist 1/8 of a rotation and lift!

The two-way Bleed/CO2 Re-Circulation valve is an awesome innovation. One side of the valve allows the user to easily bleed off excess gas in the reactor which makes the reactor a snap to get running. No more tipping the reactor or shaking it to release trapped gas.

The flip side of the two-way valve is the control for the CO2 recirculation loop. This allows the user to make optimal use of CO2 gas by re-circulating it with the reactor. It also allows for the control of that flow. If the valve is left in the middle position, it simply bypasses both features, allowing you to run the reactor without a re-circulation of CO2 gas if so desired.

The use of the Pinwheel impeller is perfect for a calcium reactor as it provides an excellent way to atomize the CO2 gas. The smaller surface area of the smaller bubbles makes it easier for them to dissolve in the water and therefore acidify the water being processed by the reactor. This in turn maximizes the efficacy of the gas being injected into the reactor that results in a decrease in CO2 usage and savings to the consumer.

To top it off, we provide a Venturi/Reducer valve on the pump intake manifold that results in enough suction to effectively pull water to the reactor so that an auxiliary feed pump is not required in most cases. If the reactor is being set up remotely from the aquarium, a feed pump may be required.
